Who the heck are we fooling, we cant play possession ball and our possession is always going backward with no courage or intent and is always dangerous in giving the ball away with our sloppiness anyway. Who are we fooling playing a 38 yo at cdm, a novice at acm and an ok guy like Speedy in the middle of the park, thinking we are ball handling and creating. We are doing nothing of the sort.
Our possession percentages show us that.
27% vs MEX, 42% VS PANAMA OUR HIGHEST POSSESSION RATE RESULTED IN WORST DEFEAT!
39% vs Cr, 38% vs USA and I would say 50% of those low possession rates was joke possession, pedaling backward, non thinking, weak, non innovative play, even when we had the advantage in position, speed and numbers we would hold up play and b4 you know it that attack ball would be in Blakes hands. Joker biz!
Why not play 3 cdms, we have great talent on defense side play them all. Truth is our best attacks come off broken plays of opponents not off some creative innovative move by some imaginary Mandrake magician.

We are dreaming to think a newbie who cant get game on his club team, and others like Ravel can do anything at all. Truth is their weakness is two sided, not strong enough in attack to justify selection and there defensive liabilities in stemming the opponents attack and possession is basically non existent.
Three cdms create havoc in midfield and shutting down opponents attack lanes and dusrupting possession. The first Us goal does not happen with three cdm midfield with strong young fit defensive players, with a mindset geared in interceptions and disrupting the opponent attack, ut needs super fit players which we seem to be really lacking for some reason.
When do we ever get to understand our strength is defending and counterattacking.
With speed and guile on the flanks and proven finisher up front that is a hard combination to contain but we cant get out of the way of selecting a team that we cant man, we dont have that skill or talent level developed at this level or any level of Jakan ball for that matter. We will never be that blueprint team we try to copy. We must do what works for our talent and development stage
433 with 3 cdms or 361 with one cdm and two of 6 being wing backs, effectively making it a 433 with 3 defensive mids or a 451 with 3 cdms, two wingers and one striker up front.
