    Brazil was dominating play, they had four point blank chances to one for Mexico.

    Guardado was left wide open at the penalty spot. Someone made a great run down the left flank and cut the ball back to him.

    Kleber flicked in a corner kick at the near (right) post.

    Kaka scored on a rebound. Ronaldinho served the ball from the right side, a Mexican defender stopped it, but the ball lay dead in the box. Kaka pounced on the loose ball and buried it.

    Two minutes later, Brazil's Elano, a late sustitute, was ejected for a foul.

      Brazil's goalkeeper Julio Cesar made a great play, keeping out a free kick targeted for just under the crossbar. He had to go into the goal to bat the ball out.

      Suddenly, the ball went to the other end of the field, where Alfonso latched onto it and fired the ball past Mexican goalkeeper Ochoa.
