Venezuela scored three times in the last 25 minutes to hit back from two goals behind and beat Paraguay 3-2 in a friendly on Saturday.

Cristian Riveros scored twice to put the visitors in command, snapping up a rebound in the 37th minute and heading in a second in the 65th as both teams warmed up for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ qualifiers, which start next month.

However, Paraguay had Enrique Vera sent off in the 58th minute and Venezuela made the most of their numerical advantage. Daniel Arismendi began the fightback in the 67th minute when he scored from close range.

Giancarlo Maldonado equalised with a long-range shot in the 76th minute, and Alejandro Guerra scored the winner with another shot from outside the area in the last minute.
