THE future of Jamaican international player Marlon King and the long-running dispute over the chairmanship of the South Central Confederation should be among the top issues up for discussion at today's board meeting of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) at its New Kingston headquarters.
Last month, general secretary Burchell Gibson wrote to Reggae Boy King through his English Premiership Club, Watford, advising him of a disciplinary hearing examining his actions, during Jamaica's twomatch tour of England in May and June.

"Mr King has responded and what I'll do on Sunday (today) is to table Mr King's reponse to the board of directors' meeting and then we will have some follow-up with Mr King resulting from the decision taken by the board of directors...," Gibson told the Sunday Observer in an interview on Thursday.

On June 1, King was expelled for disciplinary reasons prior to the team's historic match against
England on June
3, which the
Reggae Boyz lost
6-0 at Old Trafford.

His team-mates Jason Euell and Jamal Campbell-Ryce received lighter punishments and were fined half their match fees after the JFF management and technical staff heard appeals by the three players.

The JFF had earlier expelled the three, who broke a team curfew.

Misplaced priorities as usual. Why not calla spade a spade and letting Boxhill know that he is wreaking our football? Well ... whats left of it.

JFF suffers from "foot in mouth" disease, and the executives are performing on the wrong stage. "Showtime at the Apollo" seems like an ideal venue for Boxjuice and company.

I think the sorry bunch would have been booted off the Showtime At The Apollow already. We have seen them shut out Shavar Thomas for three years already without much of a disciplinary hearing or any public announcement. I guess they are trying to do it right on this one.

JFF, how about saying you will not select the man for any matches within the next six months and that he issues an apology to the JFF board. It does not have t be a public apology either. Other than that, you guys just move on.

The good thing is, Marlon can decide to just wait them out, as they will not be in office much longer. He could miss a year, by then we would be in WC Qualifying where his services would be needed.
