Columbus sell Szetela to Santander

Columbus Crew and USMNT Under-20 midfielder Danny Szetela has spurned moves to AS Roma and Newcastle United in favor of joining to Spanish meddlers Racing Santander.

"[Szetela] will be joining [Racing Santander] after he completes a physical," Santander official Alberto Aparicio confirmed to YA early Saturday morning. "He will travel to Spain this weekend and hope to have everything settled by early next week."

Then Isiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the words of the LORD Almighty: The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon.
Nothing will be left says the LORD. And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be bord to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
"The word of the LORD you have spoken is good," Hezekiah replied. For he though, "There will be peace and security in mylifetime.

I think the lack of contracts for our local players is due to the fact that not many of them have aligned themselves with good agents. As a matter of fact, most of our players do not have agents who can sell them to clubs or to unearth those opportunities which may exist with clubs.

I think if this situation changes, you will see a lot more of our players getting contracts to go overseas.

Clifton's Szetela heading to Spain

Danny Szetela knew he wanted to play in Europe. He just didn't know where in Europe. At least not until Friday.

After nearly two months of transfer speculation and negotiations, Szetela finally made up his mind on where to spend the next chapter of his professional soccer career. With offers from a half dozen clubs from three different countries, Szetela decided that Spain was the best fit.
