    HL!!!.......Another American has been hired

    as a head coach in Europe. Pellegrino Matarazzo is now the head coach of VfB Stuttgart. He was born in New Jersey & played for Columbia University (a fellow Lion Alumnus ): https://www.vfb.de/en/vfb/latest/new...r-cheftrainer/

    Thanks for the info. Can't say I know much about him. Will try to keep up with his performance.

    Oh, you went to Columbia huh...! Great institution.

    Back in the days when I was considering grad school, Columbia was on my short list. Decided on NYIT...since I was given full tuition reimbursement.

      Matarazzo didn't have much of a pro career. He played in the lower German divisions, and started his coaching career in 2010, at 32. Spent most of his time in youth development, even working with the DFB youth development system. Got his UEFA A license in 2012, and his UEFA Pro license about 3 years later.......I'll also follow his progress with Stuttgart, who is presently 3rd in 2.Bundesliga.

      Went to Columbia to spite my father, who I was "at odds" with. He wanted me to attend his alma mater - Yale.......Columbia turned out to be the right choice, because my wife attended to NYU.
