What do you call choosing to defend, you think retreating into your half and passing it around is going to result in having possesion of the ball for any long periods of time ? 2nd you think stacking your midfield with Mascherano,Fernandinho,Eissen,Mataic types is going to result in any consistent passing ?
Players like that do one thing,retrieve and pass it to the attacking mid.You dont even want them dribbling.Tappa set the team up to play that way by selecting players who can defend 1st compounding it is having that posture which feeds into a loss of posession.
