KHADIJA ‘BUNNY’ Shaw, the star striker with Jamaica's Reggae Girlz, has penned a two-year contract with French professional giants FC Girondinis de Bordeaux.
The 22-year-old from Spanish Town, Jamaica, has achieved her goal of turning professional and will soon be competing in the top flight in Women's Ligue 1. She joins having last played for US outfit Florida Krush.
Shaw is a real hot-shot, having bagged 31 goals for the Girlz in 22 games, including a brace in Kingston's National Stadium against Panama last month.
She kicked off her international career at the age of 14 and played for the Girlz at the U15, U17, U20 and senior level.
Shaw, who scored two goals on her senior debut against the Dominican Republic in August 2015, is in France for the Women's World Cup finals and she is expected to prove a handful in Jamaica's opening Group C game against Brazil on Sunday (June 9).
Hue Menzies, head coach of the Reggae Girlz, said: " I'm so happy for Khadija on her signing with Bordeaux.
"She has completed a degree in Communications, her national team is in the World Cup finals and now she has signed to be a professional footballer.
