The JFF could be better for this move

Based on what I am hearing just two of the 13 FAs, did not nominate Burrell which means the vast majority will fall in line and allow the new executive to put its policies in place for the moving ahead of the football product.

KSAFA is one of the FA that did not nominate Burrell and has a lot of clout but if what Burrell and co has to offer is productive and in the interest of football and is TRANSPARENT, then we have nothing to worry about, right?

However if the Captain comes back in the same mode, the thin skinned and vengeful mode then we are in serious trouble.

Also Burrell needs to prove he has learned from his period in the wilderness and has ideas to move the football forward, in other words the pre-1998 JFF and God help us, not the post 2000 JFF.

You know what I was thinking, we would be better off moving to a model that hired a CEO of football. Who reports to the FA. I think that may work better. Similarly to how usa basketball is now set up. That way you take away football decision from people who are not necessarily productive football people.

Here's my take:

Jamaica like T&T and many other countries do not have a pool of management executive (CEO's) to choose from. The mode of operation (for now) will have to follow the current 'one man rule' model.

It is just hopeful thinking--that Jamaica has lots of the Burrell type managers available to run the JFF. If these executive managers exists--they would make themselves available. We as fans would not be calling prospective candidates names like X, Mosiah and others.

BINGO!!!!....I was on a call with an Atlanta based Jamaica football journalist for over an hour last night and we were talking about the very same thing.

If you want good people to take on the very difficult and demanding job then they MUST be remunerated along the lines of a corporate CEO with perks and all.

How do you expect to attract the bright people who benefited from sports like a Chris Dehring etc when they are going to be asked to push their hand sin their own pockets to make the Federation viable or even to get to and from the office.
