In someways I admire Boxhill and his decision, but deep down we have to look at the message and the reality of the situation we are in. We can all agree that hindsight is 20/20. With the knowledge of outcomes we can say well he should not have done this or that but to be fair if we ask ourself if we were him would we have relieve Carl and brought in Lazaroni. I dont think any reasonable person would say that Carl should have stayed on but the team needed change. One could argue that he should have done that before as the timing was bad but again that 20/20 argument. Moving he academy to St. Elizabeth in my opinion a solid move. The hiring of Bora again not a bad move. The focus on youth prorgam again the right move. Boxhill's failings or challenges was that he seems to be a consensus builder. The real question is how can you build consensus when you cant trust those in your circle and most are pulling for you demsise so they can win handouts. There was time when quick decision was important but we waited. I am not for one who sees Burrel as the saviour! Rather I worry that this is more curry goat politics. Give handouts and buy votes and if you dont have the resources to play that way you have to walk away. Thanks Boxhill for your work , you transparency and I beg to say your honesty.

FACT: Burrell placed Jamaican football--and the Reggae BoyZ on the WORLD MAP.
Many do not like the GOOD Cap'n because of his leadership style.
Capt. Burrell has extensive executive management experience and a massive rolodex of the who's who in football. Currently there is no one in jamaica with his resume in international football.
Captain Horace Burrell is the exact fit for the JFF post.
Dun talk (as Jawge would say). The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough

Nuff respect for this, OJ. Those who can do more than just cite Jamaica's appearance at the 1998 World Cup will understand where you are coming from.
On the other hand, it would not be fair to say that Burrell simply bought the votes. He does have a good record pre-1999 with the JFF and there are many who believe that, being kicked to the curb once, he would understand that performance is what it's about, along with transparency, fairness and accountability. We expect a rejuvenated Burrell, a Burrell who has learnt from his mistakes and wants to do one better this time around.
