I think some of these "young" U.S. players are too eager to sign with TOP Premier League clubs, from MLS.......I think Steffen should have returned to Bundesliga for 2-3 seasons, where there was interest & better chance of him winning a starting job, which would be better for his continued development & growth.......I thought Palmer-Brown should have signed with Porto, where he went on loan & had made about 2 offers for him, instead of signing with City.

we are signing him to sell him...he won't set a foot in the etihad...he will be loaned out & sold..just like the aaron moyy & a host of others...it's a business transaction...

Steffen is an outstanding keeper!

I have seen him in action several times .

In some ways BrickTop is right. Dont see him as even 3rd keeper for City.

As pointed out in the article, he will be farmed out.

That's why I don't want him going to Manchester City. I would like to see him go to a team where he could start or seriously challenge for the starting spot.......Steffen has had my support since the 2015 U20 WC, and I think he can be the #1 USMNT GK. His competition for that spot, now, is Ethan Horvath, who is the starting GK for Club Brugge, so he's getting experience playing in the Belgian First Division A & Champions League/Europa League.
