Luton Shelton scored twice as a strong Sheffield United reserve-team line-up ran out convincing 4-0 winners at Stocksbridge PS.
In the Blades' final pre-season friendly, Jamaican international Shelton scored after just 40 seconds and again midway through the second half.
Shelton, signed during the last January transfer window for £1.85million from Swedish side Helsingborgs, was first and last on the scoresheet, with his goals sandwiching efforts from Nicky Law and Geoff Horsfield.
Young first-team hopeful James Ashmore, Egypt international Ahmed Fathi and French striker Christian Nade were all given run outs against the UniBond Premier Division side.
