  • Mesut Ozil has decided to walk away from international

    football.

"I am German when we win, but I am an immigrant when we lose," Ozil said.

Ozil said his recent treatment made him "no longer want to wear the German national team shirt".

he did not feel accepted in German society despite paying taxes, donating to good causes there, and being a World Cup winner.

Strange, after losing 2-0 to the Koreans I recall one Ozil making key passes to try and get Germany back in the game. I guess he is right ...."but I am an immigrant when we lose"

    Sad...

Is it worth it compared to having none and why ?
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

interesting question, I was actually comparing notes with another coach from serbia on Sunday... We both been in youth dev for over 15 years and coached up to semi-pro teams . I generally believe you should attain the highest coaching badges and have continuous learning. it makes you better has a coach no doubt. The issue is you have unintended consequences? So now you have guys who cant coach , cant develop players but they can get through a UEFA B or National A and that is now the benchmark of pre req for a coaching position or that determines whether you get a stipend or a 60K job from a club or college. So the badge is a certification that validates you which can be good and can be bad. Here they call it standard base coaching , and each job you take requires a standard. The flip side of that X is the lazy guys like me that unfortunately takes the lazy POV that says I dont need a Natl A or B I will do the minimum standard so I can coach and take assistant coaches role because I don't have a gap in knowledge but I cant produce the piece of paper or I don't agree with how the program is administered. So in someways it forces good coaches out and let in bad ones but the bottom line is you need a standard and it is saying to guys like me if you want that big job you need to have a UEFA B or Natl B and we know that going in and it up to us. So in summary coaching education is required 100% but it may not be the end all... So because a guy dont have a A badge does not mean he cant coach or visa versa

Agreed,i will just add , its better to have a standard than none at all, it will weed out more rotten apples than good ones.Like having a drivers lic test i.e standard.

                  Thats how I see it.

You know that Canada is changing the system next year? From what I understand, you won't be able to get a Canada B unless you are already coaching at an elite level. Is that true?
