off (neck was in a brace & body immobilized) & taken to the hospital. Said it was a freak accident - went for a clearance, slipped, crashed to the turf & hit his head.......Praying that it isn't serious.

I was at home watching it and it very sad. He went down after clearing a ball with his head or chest. There was no other player close by but he went todn and hit the ground and was knocked out.
They stretchered him off. It looks pretty serious, but I am just praying. It made the game meaningless to me at that point. Hope it is just a scare. He was taken away in an ambulance to the hospital. Just coming back from the game.
Its one of those freak accident. The game continued. Everyone included the THIEFING RAT of a ref ignored the event.
Hope Lawrences' injury is not serious.The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough

Looks like he had a concussion, he hit his chin hard going face down leading to his brain ricocheting off the reverse side of the back of his skull.
It is weird how he is expected to leave the hospital today.Comment

The Red Bulls confirmed on Sunday night that Lawrence was "conscious, fully responsive and in good spirits."
The team said he would remain on the hospital overnight for observation.
