  • Russia 2018 Groupo A

Oh yeah ... World Cup is next month. After the FA Cup final I will have to switch my mind to the World Cup. Looking at Group A, a group made up of Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Uruguay, which 2 should qualify? It is quite easy to pick 2, but can we discount the power of Putin?

The game starting the tournament is Russia v Saudi Arabia ...sigh ... don't think I will be sick on that day.

Russia being at home has a huge advantage. Historically, home teams make it out. I think South Africa was the only one not to (don't quote me on that). So my picks: Uruguay and Russia. My sentiments: Uruguay and Egypt.

      "Russia can't beat Egypt".

Not even if the ref is Putin's bredda-in-law.......

The other day I was noticing how much very good players Egypt has in the higher leagues. Dont count them out.
