  • For those living in Canada - I see that

Montreal Impact just transferred an 18yo to FC Barcelona. I've only seen highlights of Ballou Tabla, so could you tell me how he compares to Canada's other TOP teenager, 17yo Alphonso Davis, and is Manchester United still the leading destination for Davis???

Umm both are very good I rate them both in the special category. I think Davis needs to get out of here too but to a club where he will play and develop. My personal belief is Man U has too many of those players. The bigger issues for the two is the CSA just fired the coach who was a breath of fresh air and was giving youngsters a chance. Now they gave it to the Women’s coach herdman and I don’t know how that will play out.

I agree with sending youth/young players to clubs where they will be afforded the best opportunities to develop. That's why I prefer our (U.S.) youth players going to Germany, instead of England.
I was surprised that they fired Zambrano.

Politics my brother and it stinks. That is the problem with the CSA. It’s not about coaching or results or playing style. It’s weather or not you can make a good PowerPoint deck. Here is the deal as I believe it. John herdman the women coach who was technically the director of all women’s age group (u15andup) pulled a fast one to say he was going back to England to take the English women job or a club job in the USA unless they gave him the men’s program. I know for a fact he wanted when they brought in the Ecuadorian. But the way they did it makes it seems as if the coach was not performing as it relates to the programming of the younger age group. Herdman is a salesperson and he probably sold he can. I wish them well.
