Miami FC will play the Puerto Rico Islanders on Friday, September 8 at 8:00 PM, and on Sunday, September 10 at 5:00 PM. Both games will be at the Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium.

Currently, Miami FC holds a postseason spot as they are 5th place, with 38 points, and the first six teams in the USL First Division qualify to the playoffs. Nonetheless, Miami is still obliged to add some points in Puerto Rico, as the Islanders, who are tied for 6th with the Seattle Sounders, are 4 points behind the Floridians. The Atlanta Silverbacks is sitting in 8th and are 6 points behind Miami FC, but they have one less game played.

"We know we have not secured a playoff sport yet, but what's important is that we hold our destiny in our hands. That's what we wanted all along, to depend on ourselves and no other team to pull us through." said Jamaican forward Sean Fraser, who has scored three goals in the last two games for Miami.

Miami FC practiced this morning at Tropical Park Stadium. The only player absent in the practice was forward Mario Rodriguez. "El Loco" is in Guatemala along with the national team that faces Panama in a friendly game this Wednesday night at Mateo Flores Stadium. Rodriguez rejoins his Miami FC teammates on Thursday, just in time to fly to Puerto Rico were the South Floridians play their last two games of the regular season.</SPAN>
