AUFC really wants this player and Independiente knows that, so they're holding out for a BIG payday.......The advantage for AUFC may be Barco's desire to leave Independiente, as he even offered to give Independiente $1M, to help secure his transfer during the 1st round of negotiations.

I wonder if another MLS team can sign him, in a "straight transfer", or does AUFC has his discovery rights.

First: Asad is not that special.

Second: Barco currently is just a good investment. He may be outstanding playing at his current level. Buying him is a financial risk that these big clubs will take.

Ezequiel Barco - Just got some info, that a deal has be struck for Barco's transfer to AUFC.

Got this today: "AUFC reportedly want to finish the negotiations for Ezequiel Barco in "the coming hours." They've already agreed on a $15M transfer fee, but the deal is held up by Independiente still insisting on 30% of a future sale in the next 5 years.".......The "future sale" negotiations has been going on for almost a week.

I am sure they will agree to half of that.

AUFC had countered with 30% from the time of his transfer to the end of the 2019 season, and then it would go to 10% after that. Independiente wants the 30% to be till the end of the 2022 season.

AUFC has got their player, Ezequiel Barco. Saw reports, one from Independiente, that the deal is done. I'm hearing that AUFC's final offer ($15M; 30% of resale till end of '19 season & 10% there after) was accepted.......AUFC is hoping to fly Barco to Atlanta tomorrow, Saturday, for official signing (5 year contract).
