Reported that Claudio Reyna's 15 year old son, Giovanni, is leaving NYCFC academy for Europe, next year. No word on where he's going, only that there are some top Euro teams interested. Will be getting a Portuguese passport through his grandmother.......I think it will be Manchester City, because I don't think they'd be pleased that their prized academy player signs with another Euro team & they get nothing from the deal. Plus, his father is their employee (NYCFC Sporting Director).......Giovanni also just signed with Adidas.

The next U.S. youth player getting attention from Europe is 18 year old, defensive midfielder, Jonathan Gonzalez. He plays for Monterrey & is one of the key players, leading the team to the Liga MX Apertura Championship (Dec. 7 & 10). Liverpool, Dortmund & Leverkusen have scouted him, and Liverpool has sent a scout to watch the Championship.......Mexico are trying to convince him to switch to El Tri.
