USAF, MLS has come a long way.

I was there when it started. I know you were there too.

The 'bush league' as it was fondly dubbed by the neigh-sayers (naysayers)has arrived.

I hope after the current proposed expansion, no other franchise will develop.

It would benefit Jamaica to ride piggy-back on some of the successes of MLS .

BTW...I have accustomed myself to the fact that Almiron will not be with us next season. Even Newcastle as you pointed out... is after our star player.

I can fondly remember my "visits" to RFK, watching Marco & the boyz.......I have been recommending a partnership between Jamaica Premier League teams & MLS for years. I don't see it happening now, because MLS teams are focused on South America, Central America, Africa & Europe.

FC Cincinnati averaged over 21,000 (attendance) for the season (that would put them among the top MLS teams & more than Columbus). They have a billionaire owner, who will spend (unlike Kraft & Kroenke). The owner also has a very good relationship with community. The team has a following in nearby Kentucky.......Plus, Precourt is threatening to move the Crew to Austin, TX, because he wants a new stadium, in downtown Columbus.

Heard that MLS teams are questioning the need for the the college draft (MLS Superdraft). They're finding that less college players are able to make the grade as the MLS standard improves:
*81 players were drafted in 2017
*Only 40 were offered contracts
*Only 14 got any playing time

NOTE: Teams have been passing on their draft picks (after Rounds 1 & 2), for the past 2 Superdrafts.
