  • Very interesting article.......It starts out

discussing Landon Donovan's bout with depression, then shows that other soccer players have experienced the same, some committing suicide, and FIFA is taking steps to address it.

It would be nice to hear from Freddy Adu.
USAF, I am seeing a drop(well at least perceivably si) in the demand for US keepers by international clubs, if true then that is a serious problem given how well former keepers have done.

Not worried about the goalkeepers. They are leaving younger than before:
Ethan Horvath (22) – Club Brugge
Zack Steffen (22) – Columbus Crew (left SC Freiburg, last year, because he wasn’t offered an opportunity to compete for the starting GK). I think he should have stayed, but still being scouted by other Euro teams.
Jesse González (22) – FC Dallas. Previously played for Mexico U20 & U23. Was scouted by German teams twice this year.
Justin Vom Steeg (20) – Left Fortuna Düsseldorf to sign with LA Galaxy. Should have stayed in Germany. Still has interest in Germany.
J.T. Marcinkowski (20) – Rated as the 3rd best U.S. keeper U23. Turned down a pro contract from San Jose Earthquakes. Presently at Georgetown. Has received offers from Europe.
Jonathan Klinsmann (20) – Hertha BSC
      Brady Scott (18) – 1. FC Köln
Brandon Austin (18) – Tottenham Hotspur
      CJ dos Santos (17) – S.L. Benfica

Bill Hamid (26) & Sean Johnson (28) both had offers from Premier League & Euro teams, about 3 & 4 years ago, but their dumb@ss MLS teams didn't sell. Hamid still has interest from Europe & I think that's why he hasn't signed a new contract.
