Congratulations, to Mr. Michael Ricketts on his elevation to the post of President of The JFF. I am wishing President Ricketts and his administration every success.
President Ricketts:
Has just this small job: (emoticon for "Wry suh-mile")
- Youth Development inclusive of collaboration with ISSA and the exploitation of ISSA's tremendous reach across the country, ISSA's control of multi-billions of dollars invested in fields, classrooms, and other inherent numerous assets.
Importantly, ISSA and other education institutions are repositories of human resources - potential administrators, players, coaches, referees, medical doctors, etc. That treasure trove of human resources has always been available yet underutilized. Partnering with those institutions could realize tremendous mutual benefits.
- All-Island outreach to "coaches"(= teachers of subject football) and introduction to exposure with top international coaches and coaching (= teaching) techniques.
- Improvement of quality of play in our local competitions and of our national teams.
- Leading the way forward with the various associated partners towards making "(Jamaica's) Football - A successful business".
Again, congratulations and wishes for many successes as you lead towards greatly improved performances on the play-field and in the often unappreciated efforts 'behind the scenes'.
