They are still on it despite being unconvincing,maybe that was the best approach to get something from playing Mexico.

Staying compact may have prevented Mexico from dissecting our defense, that team is quite capable of doing so against teams that are technically inferior but nevertheless insist on going toe to toe with them.
Our next game likely will be for all the marbles...

True,but even so,I do not think we would come even close to matching El Salvador's performance..wefe we to go toe to toe with them.
A change of play is desirable only if we end the game with more points, we needed to be compact or they would have slice through our defense like a hot knife through butter.
El Savador is a slightlyeasier opponent, at this stage, I have not seen the progression I expected, maybe we will in the next game.
Tappa teams are usually marked by having a decent passing game,and that is what is now missing.

Disappointing. Unlike PR, I actually WATCHED the entire game. Tappa must have went to a Mourinho training camp, but missed the part that you only park the bus when the other team outclasses you. We should have taken it to them 1000%. I don't believe the Mexican back 4 and midfield got any pressure on the ball in their final third or the middle third. I suppose that a draw was his target as he believes we can handle El Salvador. We should get to the next round still. So who knows.

I have seen this team play in Tennessee, Caribbean cup and the game in South America plus the two in this Gold Cup. The only time I have seen decent office was the first game of the Gold Cup when Mattocks came on.

We have to develop better offense.

It has been a while our Jamaican team has produced any meaningful offense and that is concern for me. The defensive shape look good but even the second striker Corey Burke was stuck in his own 18 yards box.

Absolutely not bad...but it was a strategy that was fraught with peril had it not been for a goal post and a great keeper. To be fair, I just have a different philosophy, but props to Tappa - he's put us in an excellent position to advance...which obviously has to be the goal. I hope tomorrow he is a bit more positive against an El Salvador team that will be coming out with all guns blazing.
