  • Panama U 17 giving Mex a fight 1st half 1-0 (Mex)

    Judging by these youths ,Jamaican football is in deep trouble.

    Interesting tidbit ,all of our opponents except the USA have coaches who played for their national team our their local league football.

    Panama will be a force in concacaf for awhile,at our expense I believe.
    THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

    "It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

    Prediction ,Jamaica will not beat Panama in any international game until it starts implementing a bonafide youth system,Like which was/is called for in

      Mex won 1-0 , 1-1 would have been a fair score.

        Sorry X, but Jamaica's football development & performance is no where close to Honduras. Overall, Honduras is ahead of Panama.......Here's a list of accomplishments from Honduras, since 2000, U15 to Senior:

        FIFA World Cup: 2010, 2014
        Olympic Games: 2008, 2012, 2016
        FIFA U20 Championship: 2005, 2009, 2015, 2017
        FIFA U17 Championship: 2007, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2017
        CONCACAF U15 Championship: 2015 (Champions)

            A CONCACAF country that I think will move ahead of Jamaica, by next World Cup cycle, is Canada, if they can get it together at the national level.......Their MLS clubs (Toronto FC, Montreal Impact & Vancouver Whitecaps) are investing in academy coach & player development, and they have some talented youth players.

            Canada:
            * FIFA U17 Championship: 2011 & 2013

            * They have teenagers signed to clubs in Premier League (Stoke City, Liverpool & Chelsea), Serie A (Palermo), La Liga (Malaga), Ligue 1 (Olympique Lyonnais) & Eredivisie (Sparta Rotterdam), as well as with some 2nd tier European clubs.

            * Their 2 TOP Canada-based youth players:
            Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla (turned 18 in March) – A winger who plays for Montreal Impact in MLS. Joined the club’s academy at 13. Since last year, he’s been attracting serious attention from Arsenal, Manchester City & Chelsea.
            Alphonso Davies (16) – A winger who plays for Vancouver Whitecaps in MLS. He made his MLS professional debut at 15. Joined the club’s academy at 14. Manchester United & Liverpool have been tracking him & sending their scouts.

            JFF seems content doing NOTHING to develop good youth development coaches.......Jamaica might soon find themselves struggling to advance out of CFU competitions, at all levels.......D@MN SHAME!!!

              No doubt they have some interesting Jamaican canadians that will surprise the JFF / US at the youth level
