  • HL!!!.......Some info & an article for you

    1. Seems David Beckham & his group has found the investor they were seeking for the Miami franchise. It’s reported that Todd Boehly is joining the investment group.

    2. Didn’t see today’s U17 game vs Mexico. I see we won 4-3. Congrats to the youngsters. Seems the youth teams are stepping up & the “new” youth program is paying off, at the CONCACAF level.

    3. Interesting article about MLS slow progress when it comes to hiring Black & Latino coaches:

    1. It was only a matter of time. The MLS business opportunity still has room for a few more expansions.

    2. I saw the 3-1 win against El Salvador. A win is a win is a win....but i was not impressed on the u17 performance. If they won against Mexico.....that is bigly indeed!! Not sure if that game was played.

    3. I will check out your attachment.

Hope all is well with you.

      1. He had some difficulty getting that new investor. The closest, before this, was Oryx Qatar Sports Investments (owners of Paris Saint-Germain), which it reported had MLS support, but at the last minute OQSI pulled out because of “disagreements” with the Beckham group…….If MLS approves this, I wish them all the best getting the team started ASAP, because MLS was getting frustrated with the group…….Still on the fence about the Liberty City location, for their stadium.

      2. The game was played yesterday. Here are the highlights from the game:

      I good. Everything's good.......Thanks.

Sorry about #2. I thought you meant Jamaica beat Mexico 4-3.

The USA and Mexican players appear "more sturdier" than their Jamaican counterparts. Both these teams play with lots of passion.

There are lots complaints that the Jamaica u17 are not getting much practice...but I think it's much more than that.

I question the psychological, nutritional, training facilities incl. physical training...and other aspects.

I guess Jamaica plays Mexico next. This is another good measurement test.

Spot on but there is more. I cried out saying "does this team have a sports psychologist?". I want to hear from the rest of the forum before I say more.

Oh usually on most of Ja's team there would be at least one technically gifted player/border line. Didn't see any in this game. I'm assuming injury.

Btw I watched the whole game from start to finish.

You notice they don't look sturdy as the USA & Mexico.

Maybe we need the professor to administer some of that special syrup.................

"There are lots complaints that the Jamaica u17 are not getting much practice...but I think it's much more than that." - You're absolutely correct that Jamaica's problems are more than the teams getting more practice games. The sad thing is, I see Jamaica having the same problem they have had since I was living there (mid 70s - early 80s) = They don't have a comprehensive & efficient development program.
              - They need a Development Program for Coaches & Directors, as well as Continuing Education.
              - They need a comprehensive Development Program for Players with a 10-month Elite Youth League (U12 to U18), and competing in good international tournaments.
