The sport still needs to be cleaned up (with regards to the blatant fouls). IMO, it's because there is a sense of huge nationalism that comes with the sport at the INT'L level. Dirty play is the only way some teams
can level the playing field with technically superior teams.
Can you imagine the above being done to Jordon? Then again there is really no nationalism to the NBA (just money). FIFA allows team to stay equal by playing dirty hence appeasing their "base".
Look at the Brasil vs Paraguay. Paraguay is saying the ref cheated them. I'm here saying there should have been at least one red card (based on the fouls on Neymar).
