HL,read that Pepto attributed City getting booted out of the CL to his inability to impress on his team to play attacking football,in other words he had misplaced trust in his players by believing they would follow his instuctions.
He wrongly cites the second half performance as what could have been but fail to acknowledge Monaco played different in that half than they did in the first,and that probably was an unforced change,likely the consequence of inexperience.
His assessment of what occurred is suspect.
I pretty sure Bricktop trusted Pep will spare him from an embarrassing self imposed exile(again)..
