Under-17 coach happy local residency camp a reality

Head coach Andrew Edwards is delighted that his agitation for a full residency camp for his Under-17 Reggae Boyz has finally become a reality.
The 32-player camp, which started on Sunday, is expected to run all the way through to the team’s departure for the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship in Panama City April 21- May 7.
“We are very happy that we are having our core players in residency. This is extremely important as what it does is give us an extended period to engage the boys in continuous preparation in all facets of the game – technically, tactically, physical, mental, emotional and psychosocial,” said a beaming Edwards on Sunday.
Among the activities of the fulsome residential arrangement will be training sessions, gym training, mental skills training, social activities, team building activities, and full academic tutelage of the players.
