  • Watched an enthralling match last night: Liverpool v Leicest

The match can be referenced many ways as can all matches but claiming Liverpool's performance fantastic is a far stretch.

What the match was for me: It was perfect example how a team (Liverpool) can get desired result. The goals they scored was direct result of simple sensible plays - good movement and passing, passing and movement ending with sweet simple passing into goal. Wonderful plays.

Yes but for the Leicester 'keeper it could be 6 or 7. What can Liverpool be if so many passes did not go astray?

On the flipside defensively Liverpool was wide open. Leicester in the final 3rd, to put it mildly, was not as sensible with the ball. The movement was OK...too often players did not meet balls = gift (of ball) to Liverpool...& too often pass on goal made when TEAMMATE & GOD faced goal = better placed (a mistake Liverpool often never made)...yet for all that they carved Liverpool open 3 or 4 times. What tenner would the match have taken if 2 or 3 goals resulted?

Great teaching tool for our JA teacher coaches. Would be wonderful fodder for TEAM-CLASS DISCUSSION.

It wasnt a gift , LFC style under Klopp is to press for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ball , in other words the opponent should never get it gegenpressing - Spaces denied

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Any win IMO (well, most), especially if its a three goal margin has to be the result of some things being done well. What LFC did better in this match, is keeping composure, even with players being "played out of position" (sic)... but you are right to a certain point; had Vardy for example, kept a cooler head when he was one on one with the goalie, it could easily have been two two and a different tenor to the match.

We are still a work in progress, progress being the key word!
