Sammy Lee will be rueing the cost of Bolton's opening tour match that saw Ricardo Gardner stretchered off with a hamstring injury. Lee would have been more pleased to have heard Nicolas Anelka confirming his commitment to the Bolton cause, and to have almost landed Mikel Alonso (brother of Xabi) on loan for a season.
