Nigeria striker John Utaka is set to join Portsmouth
Nigeria's John Utaka is expected to complete a move to English Premiership side Portsmouth on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old is set to sign a four year deal from French side Rennes after undergoing a medical later today.
"I'm close to moving to England and 99% of the deal with Portsmouth is completed," Utaka told BBC Sport as he arrived in London on Wednesday.
"It's been a dream to come to England, now is the time to take my chance and prove I'm good enough to be here."
On Monday the striker had his last training session with his team mates at Rennes at their pre-season camp and bid them goodbye as he embarks on a new challenge.
Utaka scored 10-goals in 35 league appearances last season in the French league.
