    U-20 World Cup Preview -- U.S. vs. Uruguay

    The United States-Uruguay battle in Toronto lacks the glamorous football history boasted by other Round of 16 matches (Brazil-Spain, anyone?), but both squads will play with the intensity demonstrated by those with something to prove.

    The United States finished up an impressive run through the first round perched atop Group D on seven points, but the Americans came north for the trophy. Uruguay struggled from the beginning and barely qualified after a disappointing third-place position in Group B. They will play hard, but as long as U.S. manager Thomas Rongen keeps his troops focused on the match at hand, his team will add a victory to American soccer lore.
