Jamaican population in Atlanta. Are you aware of any youth players, with Jamaican "connection", that were signed by the AUFC Academy???.......I remember reading, about a year ago, that Paul Young was coaching at Georgia United Academy, is he still coaching in Atlanta???

They are active with blubs in the area. Most of the kids will come from the local clubs. Not aware of any signing but they have used selected players in at least one tournament. It will be interesting to see how they recruit as There are so many clubs down here. It seems like they will be recruiting from the same pool as Georgia United, we will see.

I depend on folks like you and Assasin for information of this sort.

It's easy to see the seriousness AU is taking in the formation if this club.

Can't wait for the season to begin!

Arthur Blanc is getting remarried, he has given up control of all his business except the Falcons and Atlanta United. These are his baby along with the new stadium. He know he has to spend some money. His daughter played Academy soccer in Georgia so he may know a lot of academy coaches. Hope their plan work.

There is a partnership/agreement with Georgia United & Atlanta United. ATL will start playing in the USSDA this Fall, and when ATL starts competing in every age group GU will move out of the U16 & U18 and focus only on U13 & U14.......ATL hired GU's top coach/director as their academy manager, and they will adopt & expand on GU's model (consisting of a structured alliance of about 6 metro Atlanta clubs). What ATL wants to do is work with ALL the clubs in the Atlanta area.

Ok. i realized they would would take from the Georgia United pool. Our club is also organization is also a part of GA united umbrella. It is sad as there are so many academies down here and some of these kids will never get a look. I was hoping it would bring a third team with Concord fire and Georga United.
