HL there is a book by Bob Greene called Mastery. I'm wondering if Ranieri read that book. I see parallels with Ranieri coaching career and that of master described in the book. It's a good book as it goes into behind the scenes work that was done by the likes of Da Vinci, Mozart et al. The thesis of the book is that contrary to what the general public believes all these masters put in a lot of work (some in early childhood)
Back in the days in Europe to be a master craftsman; one had to go through three stages. These are apprenticeship, journeyman (where one work for different masters) then master (this where one present one's master piece whether arts or craft). It took Ranieri fifteen teams before he won a significant title. The man is master he didn't parachute into any championship. I think he wants to say something in the Champions League.
