  • Klopp reinvigorates the Welsh Xavi

The worst moment of Joe Allen’s Liverpool career came on the day he signed.

Followed by the TV crew making that hideous and ill-advised documentary in 2012, Allen was described as ‘the Welsh Xavi’ by his former coach Brendan Rodgers.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Liverpool FC talking point: Eight players flying under Klopp, just three going backwards

The flourishing Origi, enjoying his first ever Premier League brace, now has eight for the season, just like the strike partner Klopp believes without doubt he can play alongside.

The Belgian turns 21 in a week and his recent displays will see plenty within Anfield happy to give him the “keys to the house”. The unbroken colt has turned into a purring thoroughbred.

Ojo could save Liverpool FC millions - and Origi is growing in more ways than one

Set plays were a little bit of a problem but other than that, the players did well. With so many changes, it can easily upset the balance of the side, so it was nice getting an early goal to settle everyone down – we haven't done that often enough this season. It was a great strike, too.

It was good to see how we kept going after Stoke equalised. Sheyi Ojo struggled a little at the start but he kept his head up and produced a brilliant moment of skill to turn it back into our favour
