West Ham new boys Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez were put in the shade on Sunday, as Brazil proved too good for Argentina in a friendly at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.
The Argentinians will be plying their trade in The Premiership after The Hammers pulled off the huge transfer coup last week, but they failed to make an impact on Sunday as Samba star Elano bagged a brace and Kaka netted a superb late effort.
Brazil disappointed at the World Cup finals and have a new coach in the guise of Dunga. The players are looking to make a positiveimpression and Elano took just three minutes to do exactly that.
Robinho produced a fabulous turn 25 yards out before slipping in Elano and his shot beat keeper Roberto Abbondanzieri with the aid of a deflection off Daniel Bilos.
Real Madrid man Robinho was the star of the show and he came close to doubling the lead on 30 minutes, but Abbondanzieri proved the equal of his shot after he had left Fabricio Coloccini trailing in his wake.
Argentina improved after the break, but they failed to find the killer touch and they were punished on 67 minutes as Elano slammed a low shot into the corner following a great pass from Kaka.
Mascherano and Tevez failed to complete the game and it was left to Kaka to have the final say with a sublime third goal.
The Milan star collected the ball in his own half and left Lionel Messi standing before ghosting into the box and slipping a low shot into the bottom corner. </DIV><DIV class=articleTools></DIV><DIV class=articleTools><DIV class=RHSComp><TABLE class=statstable cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><THEAD><TR><TH width="50%">Brazil</TH><TH width="50%">Argentina</TH></TR></THEAD><TBODY><TR><TD><H4>Starting</H4><UL><LI>1Heurelho Gomes</LI><LI>2Cicinho</LI><LI>3Lucio</LI><LI>4Juan</LI><LI>6Gilberto</LI><LI>5EdmÃlson</LI><LI>7Elano</LI><LI>8Gilberto</LI><LI>9Chaves Fred</LI><LI>10Robinho</LI><LI>11da Daniel Carvalho</LI>
</TD><TD class=statscol><H4>Starting</H4><UL><LI>1Roberto Abbondanzieri</LI><LI>2Fabricio Coloccini</LI><LI>3Clemente Rodriguez</LI><LI>15Gabriel Milito</LI><LI>4Pablo Zabaleta</LI><LI>5Javier Mascherano</LI><LI>8Juan Riquelme</LI><LI>16Lucho Gonzalez</LI><LI>9Daniel Bilos</LI><LI>11Carlos Tevez</LI><LI>19Lionel Messi</LI>
</TD></TR><TR><TD><H4>Subs</H4><UL><LI>20Augusto Rafael Sobis</LI><LI>12Deivson Fabio</LI><LI>13Sisenado Maicon</LI><LI>14Luisao</LI><LI>15Alex</LI><LI>16Junior Marcelo</LI><LI>17Dudu Cearense</LI><LI>18Julio Baptista</LI><LI>19Kaka</LI><LI>21Vagner Love</LI>
</TD><TD class=statscol><H4>Subs</H4><UL><LI>12Leo Franco</LI><LI>6Walter Samuel</LI><LI>22Fabricio Fuentes</LI><LI>14Leo Ponzio</LI><LI>20Leandro Somoza</LI><LI>21Federico Insua</LI><LI>7Javier Saviola</LI><LI>18Sergio Aguero</LI>
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></DIV><DIV class=header><H2 class=sIFR-replaced><EMBED class=sIFR-flash style="WIDTH: 294px; HEIGHT: 16px" src=http://images.skysports.com/images/swf/fonts/futura.swf width=294 height=16 type=application/x-shockwave-flash quality="best" flashvars="txt=MATCH TIMELINE&textalign=left&offsetTop=-1&textcolor=#ffffff&hovercolor=#CCCCCC& ;w=294&h=16" wmode="transparent" bgcolor="transparent" sifr="true"><SPAN class=sIFR-alternate>Match Timeline</SPAN></H2></DIV><DIV class=RHSComp><TABLE class=statstable cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><CAPTION>Match Timeline</CAPTION><THEAD><TR><TH width="7%"></TH><TH width="41%"><DIV align=right>Brazil</DIV></TH><TH width="12%"><DIV align=center>3
