"We see and feel we are heading in the right direction. The JFF with Captain Burrell at the helm has done more than any other leader in the history of the federation, so why change horse midstream," said Hanover's Sheridan Samuels.
"There are lots of grassroots programmes ongoing. The overall development of football, at least in my association, is as a result of the work of this administration. We, therefore, see no need to change at this time," he noted.
In addition, Samuels said that Jamaica's recent performance at the Gold Cup, and past accomplishments of qualifying for the 1998 World Cup Finals in France, plus qualification to the Under-17 (twice), and Under-20 World Cups give Burrell a big advantage in staving off any challenges that may emerge.
