I could be retired by then, God willing and life sparing, but mi still nah guh dat one... I will wait, God willing etc., until 2026 to attend my second WC.
I suppose the "big" leagues have seven years notice to organize their schedules around the tournament. The inevitable problem is that some clubs are bound to lose players for the rest of their domestic season...the WC is not without its casualties, viz. Neymar last year. The other is that the season, e.g. the EPL, will end a month later and therefore the following season will begin with only a month's rest in between. What happens to the traditional tours that the clubs take, to Asia, North America etc.? Will the season start maybe a couple of weeks later than normal? A host of issues to be resolved!
We'll see what transpires.
