In ManCity's defense the best of Hazard type player...the work horse, tireless mover, runner and passer...superbly creative David Silva...at least 3 players in one body...best player in the EPL for 3 seasons, is missing.

The West Ham striker denied his TEAM 2 good strikes on goal as he failed to pass and lost the ball. Pity as 3 or 4 zip is better than 2 zip

That cannot be an excuse for the team with the most expensive line up in football history.

            Today's better TEAM lost!
...not taking away any of the effort West Brom put out!
It was magnificent! The 'keeper was out of this world!

The better team lost? I think that the team that won was the better team because they executed better on the day. The team that lost may have had their chances, but they also had their misteps (e.g. no pressure on Moses). It is the difference between those two that gave you the W for WH and the L for MC. MC however, I agree, is a better team over the balance - 5 out 6 times they will beat WH...but to say that MC was better today, I don't think so.

To echo what Paul said, we must remember that football is a game of attack and defence; the defenders played better than the attackers (second half) and they more than earned and deserved the win. In fact, in repelling the MC barrage, which it was, they even created a couple or three chances to make it 3-1. City did everything they could but today was not their day; besides the keeper and defenders, MC had close misses at the goal etc. but that's football!

Does the team that executes best on the day always win ?
