Before your time there was a Gleaner sports journalist named George Beckford. George wrote great reports on sporting events. The problem was George's fascinating reports were often figment of his imagination. George often attended the events usually sleeping throughout and on others he was not in attendance but his reports were spellbinding stuff.

How he was able to remain employed as sports journalist for so long was testimony to his skill on putting together those wonderful believable stories.

Ridiculously clumsy...but not necessarily incorrect

Intact can mean "unchanged" or "untouched" from a certain state... and that state of being doesn't necessarily equal zero

In fact, now that I think about it, it may even be quite brilliant writing
