The problem is...what happens to most of our talented youth in their teen years. What "happens" for most is 3 months of recreational school ball...IF they're fortunate enuff to be in a competitive school.
Some shallow types blame "school ball" for JA producing deficient 18 y.o. & 19 y.o. ballas. Of course the real cause is the criminal absence of a structured development program.
The JFF and its Lemming supporters are criminally negligent for largely abandoning the country's yutes...except for some hurry-come-up "camps" when regional competitions are near...say 2-3 months out in a good year
But Hey... We can always import masses of ReggaeBoyz-To-Watch year to year to cobble together a national team somewhat adequate for our very WEAK Confederation
That's what many Jamaicans would term a "sustainable" football "program" worthy of our full support Go figure
