  • The simplicity of Mexico's first -

Austin fouls 40 or so yards out. Mexican takes up position wide on Mexico's right our left. ...two attackers gets into our defensive line at the penalty arc.

Ball...free-kick sent to Mexican wide on right.

Mex #18, man fouled by Austin jogs towards penalty-area, 4 yards behind and to the left of Austin (ref between both players).

Man wide on right takes his second touch, a cross

Austin gets sucked into not getting to where ball comes down...ball watching...out of area where next play must occur...Yup! ...right where #18, same person who was a moment before was 4 yards apart from Austin.

The ball comes down and is met by #18's sweetest of left foot
    ...GOAL!

3 passes by the Mexicans...nothing even World's best 'keeper could.

Schaeffer would say no to Karl. Hebwould say he wants to keep it real. Karl's eye for perfection would be counterproductive.
