A night of conflict and controversy ended with referees surrounded by security on Wednesday night following Mexico's controversial Gold Cup victory against Panama.
Six-time Gold Cup champions Mexico were handed two penalties during the 2-1 win as turmoil on the field incited fans - among the 70,511 at the Georgia Dome - to hurl drinks and other debris onto the field on two occasions.
The Panama players even protested in dressing room after their defeat, posing underneath a large banner which read 'CONCACAF thieves'.
