teams are quietly signing young players from South America, Central America & Africa.......What is helping this move is the partnership between MLS & USL. MLS teams are forming "reserve" teams that compete in the USL (Houston & Philly announced this week they will be the next to do that) & this solves a problem that was there after academy soccer (U18). MLS teams are moving away from affiliations with existing USL clubs, as they have no control over the players coaching/training & diet when loaned out, especially at that stage of their development.

I'll say it again - I think Jamaican clubs should seek to form partnerships with MLS clubs to help with the development & growth of players & coaches.

No doubt Jamaican clubs need to forge alliances not only with the MLS clubs ut with others too. Many clubs youth clubs across the US are forging relationship but there has to be some basic standards and accountability. Few clubs in Jamaica have that.
