wenger has sold important players to its competitors over the years and the result has been that hose competitors have won. cole to Chelsea (winner) rvp to man u (winner) nasri et al to city (winner) and refused the option ot sign cesc (which to me is the same as selling him) (winner).

Yes, never happened in his 8 years at Arsenal. Achieved it in his first 9 months with Chelsea.

Salt in the would. Gael Clichy also won the BPL. On another note, Thierry Henry had to go to Barca to win the UCL.

Mourhino has never been in a position where he had to make ends meet. He could always pick choose and refuse

be that as it may ... he says that he will not sell his players to rivals ...... he is very very strong on that. I cannot think of a team other than the gunners who have helped out their rivals to the extent we have.

mourinho is saying we will sell him but not to arsenal.

if it is that the players dictated this ... somehow I don't see them thinking they could do that with anyone else and then the results.

don't get me wrong, it was probably good business economically but the message it sent .... SMH

The reason he will not sell his players to rivals" is because that is a luxury that only a few managers have. Wenger has not won trophies but neither has he spent gold chasing silver like a drunken sailor either. The unfortunate truth about the modern game is that managers like Wenger would clean the clocks of his rivals if the financial playing field were level. That's why all the accolades dem want fi give Mourinho are meaningless to me...mek him try dweet wid the res' a de team dem budget. Then we can talk.

I took that for granted...but he has come out and said ... i will not be selling cech to arsenal. that mek cech know him should look elsewhere and mek arsenal know "figget it!"

The crux of the matter is Chelsea can afford to let Chech see out his contract or for that matter any other player because Abromovich have endless resources. So Jose can take that stand. If Jose was manager of Southampton Newcastle etc he would have a different view. He may have the same view but his employers would be thinking cash in to the highest bidder.

well dunny, we have been hard done by it and it is no good for the morale of the players who remained and saw their former teammates win titles ... what do you think?

It is disappointing when good players leave but don't think it affects players morale. Well that was in the past, now we are in a much stronger position and do not have to sell players that we want to keep.

Arsenal now have money to spend but that doesn't mean they will overpay for players. Schneiderlin for 25 mil would be 10 mil too much.
