Premier League clubs give young players less game time

Premier League clubs give young players less game time than La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A

Bucking the trend are Liverpool and Tottenham, whose young players featured in 19.8 and 18.9 per cent of their total minutes this season, respectively.
Sunderland and Stoke didn’t field a single player born on or after January 1, 1994.

Any conclusions? see any link to EPL teams' performance in Europe and these stats? Seems like the leagues that do well in Europe, i.e. have teams that go deep have found a happy balance.. maybe?
