    Daniel Gordon, Karlsruhe In Bundesliga Promotion Playoff

    Daniel Gordon and Karlsruhe finished third in Bundesliga 2 and will play Hamburg in the Bundesliga promotion playoff. The dates for the two-leg playoff will be announced.

    Karlsruhe beat 1860 Munich 2-0. Darmstadt held on to second place and automatic promotion with a 1-0 win over St. Pauli.

    Hamburg has never been relegated out of the Bundesliga since 1963, when the modern Bundesliga was formed. Last year, Hamburg barely survived the playoff, winning 1-1 on away goals against Greuther Furth.
