THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

He is going to sell Sterling with a good amount of time remaining on his contract,he might get the same amount of money but will the same players (the ones to buy)still be available?
      It is a flawed strategy.

Rockman - that argument of yours doesn't hold. There will ALWAYS be players available and always be good buys and bad buys out there. That's just how the market works, so while he could get a pile of cash and go and buy pastore this summer, he might wait until next year and pick up a better player then - and still get a pile of cash for Sterling.

From LFC's perspective, Sterling represents a no-lose situation. They paid nothing for him, so there is nothing to lose from a pure accounting point of view. So I suspect, they are using this as an opportunity to send a message to agents of the rest of their squad - "don't f- with us." At the end of the day, FSG can "afford" to sit on Sterling through the end of his contract; Sterling however, is not in that good a position as he can't force his way out if they don't want to sell him.

In my opinion, Sterling and his agent were not only wrong to speak to the BBC, but absolutely classless in saying that he wouldn't sign even for $1m a week. Very dumb negotiating position when you don't hold any cards and a very stupid approach to a delicate problem that could have been handled with far more sensitivity and finesse.

So if Pool had lost out on getting Suarez then it would have been inconsequential because better players probably would be available next time around?

I think they will hold him and sell him next summer, just like they did with Suarez.

Sterling also has the option of buying out the rest of his contact period if he really wants to leave. Considering that they are paying him chicken feed right now, if would not be hard to do. He would then make back that money that City would pay him as sign on bonus.
I think Liverpool know that the game can be played this way too, so they are not making the case of sitting him on the bench for two years. They would be asinine to go that route.

Are you implying something about Pauls reasoning.

wouldn't Liverpool have to agree with that? Wouldn't that have to be a mutual agreement?
If he could others would have done it too.

What about the Webster Ruling? Sterling can buy himself out of his contract if he’s three or more years in to it....Came across this musing on a LFC website.

You know X,it is probably worth mentioning a similarity between you and Paul Marin in light of the fact that only the differences are being emphasized, you and Paul Marin hate Man U with a passion.
