Appears Burrell is correct, the technical skills on display has improved tremendously over that on display in the last Gold Cup.
I watched the USA vs El Salvador match last night...the touch the players on both TEAMs showed was top class. both teams gave away the ball too often...but, on ball control in all other areas excellent.
Yup - Qualifying shall be difficult task. Not impossible...but, I wonder if I am the only one thinking we should be working on and with THE TEAM REGGAE BOYZ...the real TEAM... just as the other FAs are doing?
I think we have the quality players. We just need TEAM.
...and, considering the qualifiers shall be long i.e. many matches...that TEAM needs to be built where excellence is aim...and, playing at or near top performance becomes reflex action. It takes a long time to have TEAMs perform at or near optimum levels consistently...and, based on the showings of these Gold Cup teams we shall have to do that or a result similar to the 2006 qualifiers where we showed we could perform brilliantly but, not maintain that brilliance each and every minute for each match will be on us. That will result in "once more sitting on the outside looking on".
