    Not true.

Guadeloupe can still advance as one of the two best third-placed teams.

I saw the first half and ahalf of the second of the Haiti/Canada match. Up to the time I was watching, Haiti was running rings around Canada. The Haitians were quicker and seem to be playing better team ball than the Canadians. The haitians then had two defensive lapses which caused Canada to score. The first was they allowed De Rosario to roam freely with an incoming cross coming in from the right. De Rosario of course made no mistake of the shot.
The next was the Haitian defender bring down a Canadian player who was on the ball in the 18 yard box. This resulted in a penalty, od which De Rosario made no mistake.

The 2-0 win aside, I was not too impressed with the play of the Canadians. As we would say in Jamaica, "Haiti ball them, but Canada won".

Guadeloupe come nice up the tournament. I hope they make it through because they have been playing some good ball.

Saw a different game. Canada kept possesion well and moved the ball around at will. Hati tried to play the quick game but really it was not in doubt for Canada. Canada easily the better team and at this point playing more attractive that the USA.

Yup! Canada is playing some ball that you wouldn't normally associate with Canada. The players seem to be having fun with the ball and seem to want to entertain some nice little flicks and tricks that make you say "A canada this me a watch?"

I say Guadeloupe will advance to the quarter-finals, but one team that is definately out of the Gold Cup is T&T. After their first two games and the goals allowed I don't them them scoring 4 clear goals against Guatemala. One or two goals will be scored by Guatemala.

After the Gold Cup draw was made I post on the T&T forum that they would not advance from the first round. This, after I assessed their games in the Digicel Cup and the football friendlies they played.

Well its funny.. Steven Hart has done a good job and if you look at the players, you see more footballers, more players who love play with the ball and more players with west indian roots. Its been a while since I have seen a Canadian team who value possesion and it is nice to see they have given Atiba Hunchinson the freedom in midfield to play. Good Job Harty..

Well, as Jawge will tell you, i don't know ball. I had the TV on and was busy working on something, but everytime I looked at the TV, I would see Haiti dominating posession. They were quick, passed the ball around well, but seem not to know how to finish.

Maybe I did not watch enough to see Canada coming into their own.
